"The responsibility for change, therefore, lies with us. We mustbegin with ourselves, teaching ourselves not to close our mindsprematurely to the novel, the surprising, the seemingly radical. Thismeans fighting off the idea-assassins who rush forward to kill any newsuggestion on grounds of its impracticality, while defending whatever nowexists as practical, NO MATTER HOW ABSURD, OPPRESSIVE, OR UNWORKABLE ITMAY BE."
-- Alvin Toffler, in his closing paragraphs to TheThird Wave

Welcome Visitors!

These pages contain briefs of scripts (some writer's or concept designer's, blood sweat and tears...) submitted here by our visitors and does not necessarily represent the views and opinions of Journaled.com. Therefore, we can accept no responsibility for the content of these postings. Please also consider joining TriggerStreet.com, an effort to help aspiring screenwriters and filmmakers by actor Kevin Spacey and friends. It is a very well done and helpful site to build your skills at.

Understand, this Script Briefs area is a place to show off your ideas. Although someone can simply"rip off" your idea if placed within this area, both poster and reader should consider that if someone has an idea as displayed within this area, that person has also given this idea some goo deal of thought and has perhaps, a tremendous amount of time devoted to this idea.

Also, consider that someone that would come up with a VERY unique idea, might also have a unique insight to build upon that idea, and therefore, could easily be the one individual to flesh out that concept. Basically, don't rip off someone'sidea from here, because, you may be missing a bet by not using the originator's unique insight to draw upon. Rather, it might be worth it to simply either buy the concept, or collaborate with them; perhaps at the very least to pay for the concept; even further, for the originator's further thoughts on the project.

As screenplays are sometimes adapted from novels, you may also find briefs of unpublished novels or novel ideas, story ideas, and unpublished short stories. All are freely posted by our Users and Visitors. To view posted briefs, please select a Genre from the table above.

To view works posted by our Journaled.com Members, please see our Member Index, where you may select to view the specific works and contact information of any of our Members.

This area is for the submission of Script BRIEFS only. To post a brief description (ten lines or less) of your script, just select the genre you wish to post to.
