·         Webmaster (Officially: Senior Programmer Analyst). Sept. ‘97 to present. Responsibilities: Server Administration, Management and support of comprehensive, secured extranet Healthcare eBusiness site via DialSprint/LDAP. Planning and implementing future directions of web based infrastructures for The Regence Group’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) networking products (including Member/Provider Self-Service project to secure internet web services); secure connectivity for Healthcare community via public internet wire. Network presently used by over 3500+ clients (with organizational level clients) throughout Northwest region of United States (Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Utah).

 

EBusiness Wed Development - Regence Technologies Group (continued)

·         Sr. Technical Writer (Officially: Information Specialist). Sept. 1995 to Sept. 1997. Responsibilities: Design and implementation of software manuals for hardcopy; Stratus database and html work; quality assurance; support for both Stratus and web based computer environments. Blended three environment (VT100, DOS, Windows) user manuals into one comprehensive manual; converted into HTML for web use. Stratus database encapsulation of data, helps screens and manuals for user access.

 

MCIS, University of Washington, Harborview Medical Center Seattle, WA - 1998 to 2000.

·         Computer Support Analyst. Responsibilities: Support and backup of Radiology VAX mainframe via remote logon, client support and troubleshooting of Radiology data support systems in real time environment. Considering HMC is a Regional Trauma Center, this was a high-level, immediate care and real time dissemination of data environment that required systems to be active and accurate at all times, requiring 24x7x365 support.

 

U.S. West Technologies Bellevue, WA - 1992 to 1995

Senior Technical Writer.  Responsibilities:  Design and Maintenance of all manuals at all levels in a software development environment, related to the high level GenIE (General Information Engine) project development team incorporating legacy database systems into one user screen for executive corporate use. Member, US West Technologies Centers for Excellence. WFM (WorkFlow Management) teammember working to supply “One Stop Shopping”, workflow management and completion tracking for US West (now Quest) customers. Member, Society for Technical Communication (STC).

University Degree: Bachelor of Arts and Letters (1984) in Psychology (Awareness and Reasoning Division); Minor in Creative Writing, Western Washington University. Minor included everything from non-fiction scientific journal writing in Psychology, to writing fiction in the English Department, and writing plays, screenplays and scripts for television in the Theater Department.
