A Writer of presumeably Quality
Fiction, Screenplays,
Technical Communications, and God knows what else.
(Visit Rutger Hauer's website, look around, you'll see why.)
I am personally located in the
beautiful Pacific Northwest, a corner of the United States of America,
in the State known as Washington,
in the city called Suquamish, near Seattle, in the county known as
Kitsap.

This most recent revision was made on Saturday, April 20, 2002.
I am the originator and creator of...
Cafe Menu (On a permenant haitus)
and...
Singular President of LaGoN Productions (also currently, in
semi-limbo...)
Not just a black hole in the Experience of HumanKinder
Well, not really...
Anyway . . .
It IS a Writer's Strife

Under Construction
Welcome! (Finally, eh? (Sheesh!)), to my Home Page.
The degree that Western Washington University, in
gorgeous Bellingham, Washington, most graciously bestowed
upon me was in a rather occult division of the Psychology
Department known as "Awareness and Reasoning", which dealt a great
deal with Phenomonology. I also received a Minor in Creative Writing which included
Fiction, Play- & Screenwriting, from the
English Department, but in which I spent most of my time writing scripts and
screenplays at the PAC (Performing Arts Center), working with the Theater and
Interdisciplinary Arts Departments, Divisions of the College of Fine and Performing Arts.
Please feel free to access my catalog of Writings in general,
which includes non-fiction, fiction, horror, and screenplays
More specifically:
I have been a public cable television producer and have written in a variety of forms.
I have also worn a variety of hats over the years, and I have learned quite a few
different skills and disciplines. If you are interested in seeing a brief overview of this
diverse and unusual collection of my past experiences, click here.
I am afraid that I have actually been described in the past as a multi-dimensional (and
therefore, one would think, rather eclectic), Transcendental, Renaissance-type, who is
fairly (and perhaps, by definition) individualistic, and who is currently making a living
as a Webmaster, Senior Programmer Analyst, previously, a contract Technical Writer/Systems Consultant, who does not believe in run-on
sentences and who propounds never to use them. I'll go out on a limb here and also say
that I think that Cary Grant had a lot of class. I designed and created and maintain Journaled.com as
well as many servers at Regence Techologies Group.
Basically though, I really like to think of myself as just a starving, prosaic-artiste'
type. I am, first and foremost, a Writer. I have published at least one horror story,
mentioned below. In that vein, I would like to suggest a few books to read, that will make
a writer of short horror, a better writer. I am no longer working with Scorpio Pictures, writing screenplays.
Look up Stephen King's book called the
"Danse Macbre". It is my view, that Mr. King is a far better
writer of non-fiction, than fiction. If this paragraph seems a little out of place, it is
because I just had this idea for a separate section on reading suggestions and bettering
oneself as a writer, and thought I would just pop this in here.
Back to my technical writings. My (eventually) extended contract was with U S West
Technologies, where I worked on several high level projects, up to March 31st, 1995. My
last job in this position was to put all the GENeral Information Engine (known as GenIE)
manuals that I had written, on-line to the GenIE Home Page. Also, I woked on the WFM,
Work Flow Manager project. Both projects went belly up within a year of my leaving.
The GenIE Home Page was accessable only to U S West personnel with access to the U S
West Global Village; an internal U S West, non-World Wide WebPage system, listed on the U
S West Corporate Internet and behind several electronic, so-called,"firewalls".
Brief Aside: I'm one of those people who believes that the Internet should
remain as open and free an environment as possible. For an opinionated, though minor,
discourse on this subject, please click here.
I am currently working for The Regence Group's Regence Technologies Group, eBusiness Web Applications Development, specifically, on a "product" (it used to be a "company", or subsidiary, of King County Medical BlueShield, then
Regence Washington Health, then Regence BlueShield, then The Benchmark Group, get the drift?) called:
NDEX (Network Data EXpress)
-
A department serving The Regence
Group, an affiliation of Four Northwest Health Care Plans. NDEX is a product of - Regence
Techologies Group.
We used to run a system similar to the one run by Compuserve, a fault-tolerant
computer; essentially, what you could call, dual-parallel redundancy. It is a
system that was developed by a company called "KSI" - Knowledge Systems, Inc. It
is a system that is called: Stratus. It runs on an operating system that
is called: VOS (Virtual Operating System). We are now web based with a mainframe back end.
Now, for some reason, I would like to reference, Master Writer Charles Deemer's own home page,
and the Screenwriter's and
Playwriter's Home Page that he manages. What a guy!
I first ran into him on the Screenwriter's mailing list that I used to frequent, and he
unknowingly helped me with the initial creation of this web page. I had the pleasure of
communicating with him via email for a time, and he was a most entertaining and
informative gentleman.
Screenwriter's Resources -
A great resource for screenwriters and those interested in being one.
...and...
The InterNet List of Published Authors called WritersNet...is
kind of cool. And, Hey! I'm on it. Do a search on my name or check it out HERE!
A Brief Aside...
Related to the aforementioned Mr. Barker, I have met him personally on several
occasions, and have corresponded with him for a short time prior to his move to Los
Angeles. I did receive one response recently however, stating only briefly, that he was
very busy. I would however, have to be ascribed to the status of "Fan", in my
relationship to him. Hopefully, someday, that may be upgraded to "Peer".
Ever get the dreaded Writer's Block? I don't personally
believe in it, but if you are interested, this is a very interesting article by a fellow
who should know about such things. My personal view on it, is a professional writer,
writes. So, how does one get it? A mechanic doesn't suddenly stop being able to fix a car,
now does he. It is just a process of doing your job. After a while the dense moments
disappear. Anyway, check out the article if you like.

Ever wonder what a 13 year old would do if he had his own web page?
Now you don't have to wonder any more.
Experience the world of a 13 year old (from my son's point of view).
Or, perhaps, experience a 10 year old's web hang-out at
